I came into the world just after these years, in a place that did not move forward too quickly, so this brings many memories for me.
I love Marion Post Wolcott's work so much, and she photographed more up here in New England, too. She was also quite a plucky woman, who went where she wanted to and did what she wanted to do. Strange thing: after leaving FSA and marrying, she did not photograph anymore. Just gave it up.
No, she died a few years ago. I have a wonderful biography of her, but I have not finished it yet, so I don't know how she died -- I have also lost the book in the great stacks of books around here. I will make it my mission to find it and finish reading it.

I noticed that she was born in 1910. But there is no other date. So I expect she´s still alive?
