The first one makes me think of Renoir or Cartier-Bresson. The husband is posing in his white cap meaning he has graduated. My theory about an engineer, perhaps even a boss at ASEA is perhaps not too bad. I wonder if he shot pictures from work? This is interesting for sure! -u
