Natalie Behring is a freelance photographer based in Beijing, China. She speaks Chinese and has worked in Asia for over 10 years. Her pictures have been published in The New York Times, Newsweek etc and her assignments include Discovery Channel, Greenpeace, the United Nations and many others. Natalie works with digital, 35mmm film and medium format. She is a very busy woman and I am truly glad to have caught her in between flights somewhere in Asia. invited guest: Paweł Repetowski - Resting City
Presented photographs are subjective views resulted from the Krakow city (my home place) observations. Resting city seems to be only seemingly boring, in which man is looking for his/her own peaceful and right space for him/herself. In those respite moments I try to hunt for a bit of unusual gesture or behavior, absurd and anecdote.
My urban area observation focuses on human aspects, thus I “place” cities and its inhabitants as objects of my photographs. My continuous attempt is to capture quite an elusive relation between people and their civic environment. I intentionally chose street photography style for my personal expression, where a decisive moment and not directed scenes play an important role.
Paweł Repetowski, passionate photographer with professional background in economy, currently working as a graphics master. He has been involved in photography from more than 10 years from now.

Saturday I was talking to a friend, sitting on the step of a common friend's shop, she was in front of me.Shortly a young unknown woman walked towards us, I focused and shot their feet.To me they tell: willing and submissive, armored and unarmored, ok and uncomfortable...

How to Photograph ( The F Guide )
Well...It struck me that we have a subject called How to Not (Photograph). Don´t you think it´s time that we get down to business and share some tips and tricks of "how to photograph". The professor thinks so. Please send your contributions to gruppof-inbox@googlegroups.com. In the picture you see an example-measuring the light against your hand. Old school stuff. But we are open to any smart solution you may come up with.

The F Blog has recently interviewed two photographers who have won the Hasselblad Award: Lennart Nilsson (1980) and Graciela Iturbide (2008). This autumn Kulturhuset in Stockholm will present a major exhibition of Nan Goldin's work (Hasselblad Award winner of 2007). She is definitely one of the most important photographers of our time and I am certainly looking forward to her exhibition. Stay tuned to the F Blog for more about this event opening on 7 September. - Ulf
