a life reconstructed I

in a small valise in an abandoned house, i found these rememrances
of Lyla. she was 13 years old in 1955, had a free portrait taken at a
supermarket opening. she was accomplished with horses, and sang
at the church. she read novels, some about heroic nurses, some racier.
she loved music and dancing, and met Eric at the dance club where she
had many friends. she married Eric, and as a young wife economised by
making her own clothes and was careful about nutrition. there is no sign
that there were ever any children. the house soon will be torn down.

I know, I'm being sentimental...but I got chills reading your narrative and looking at the images...can't wait for more!

Oh, yes, this is both excellent and a bit scary at the same time... Time travel into the teenscape of the fifties. :)

Great. Love the lyrics. Yes, they are lyrics to me. Lyrics to a life long lived. Remembered.
