This is another of my favourite portraits. It is part of the Farm Security

This is another of my favourite portraits. It is part of the Farm Security
which is interesting to see. "Migrant mother" was also a part of the exhibition
Family of Man. In 1955 Edward Steichen organized that exhibition in New York.
It consisted of 508 photographs from sixty-eight countries. I will return to that
event, but perhaps you remember Steichen from my prior postings. He worked
with Alfred Stieglitz at "291" and with the journal Camera Work.
