Conversation

more from my day in Stockholm with Ulf & Tom -- looking down from the front of the palace at Djurgarten, this woman was cleaning the leaves from the pool, talking the whole time. It was hard to say if she was talking to the statue, was just nuts, or maybe she had some kind of telephone clamped to her ear that we could not see.

reality vs imagination

sometimes reality brings more unreal images then those created by our minds equipped in sophisicated tools.
sometimes reality suprises us with things we'd never imagine, we just have to dare not to pass them away

Hard times

Hard Times (by Stephen Foster)

As we pause in life's pleasures and count its many tears
Let us all taste the hungers of the poor.
There's a song that will linger forever in our ears:
Hard times, come again no more.

It's a song and a sigh of the weary.
Hard times, hard times, come again no more.
Many days you have lingered around my cabin door.
Hard times, come again no more.

As we seek mirth, and beauty, and music light and gay
There are frail forms fainting at the door.
Though their voices are silent, their pleading looks will say:
Hard times, come again no more.

It's a song and a sigh of the weary.
Hard times, hard times, come again no more.
Many days you have lingered around my cabin door.
Hard times, come again no more.

It's a song that the wind blows across the troubled wave.
It's a cry that is heard along the shore.
It's the words that are whispered beside the lowly grave
When hard times will come again no more.

It's a song and a sigh of the weary.
Hard times, hard times, come again no more.
Many days you have lingered around my cabin door.
Hard times, come again no more.

(This picture was taken with the Lucky film I bought several
months ago. Thanks to Ulf and Anders for their developing
advice. The rodinal never worked so I used hc-110.)

Hello Everybody

I would like to thank you very much for invitation.
I hope that things which I will publish on this blog will inspire you much.

Since a long time the photography has become for me not only the goal itself
but it just accompanies me through my life.

The photography is a very personal way to express myself which touches all
aspects of my existance I come across in my life.

Picture which I show comes from the new story I am working on. This is picture of my friend who, just like me, finishes an important stage in his life. Each of us thinks “what’s next?”. Peter maybe will become pharmaceutical sales representative or will start work in marketing department in motor company. This can be the future.

The photography stays in the past. Even though the picture can tell the story about somebody's dreams or about important and universal moments in our lives.

One photo at the begining..

Hi, Thanks for inviting me to F Blog.
I would like to say hallo by showing you an old photograph of my Grandmother as a young girl.
I'm looking at the picture and I see my fathers' face. It gives me the sense of nostalgy, but also allows me to remember something (someone) I really didn't know.. That's again when I realize what a great power photography is.
It's all obvious of course, but you have to admit that it can give us a great sense of affiliation.

Funny - being a photographer myself I'm not interested in author of a photo above. Only picture touches me.

it's raining...

rainy Polish summer reminds me of rainy Portuguese winter...
