Roy Gaines

Roy Gaines was a big admirer of T-Bone Walker in the early years. Only 14 years old he made covers of T-Bone Walker songs and one night in 1951 when T-Bone was in his hometown Houston he was called up to stage to do a song with T-Bone. They were friends until the death of T-Bone in 1975. Roy Gaines tells us that T-Bone considered himself as an entertainer. He made acrobatic stage moves like splits and playing behind his back. Roy Gaines follows in T-Bones steps performing a great stage show. The photo was taken in October 2007.
